Cape Cod Kings

ABOUT THE CAPE COD KINGS

The Cape Cod Kings are a club started by director Greg Clements in 2012 as Team Cape Cod under the umbrella of Cape Cod Lacrosse. The club began with high school teams and had success throughout New England and beyond.  In the next couple of years, the club had added youth teams to offer opportunities to both youth and high school players.  In November of 2016, Cape Cod Lacrosse merged with the Boston Kings and our girls teams became one with the Boston Aces.  Since the Cape and Boston merger, the Central Mass Kings, Pioneer Valley Kings (Western Mass) and the 617 “City” Kings are now part of the family. The Kings family is now made up of 6 club programs collectively with over 1,400 players playing on over 55 teams.  This creates a much greater bandwidth for the Cape teams and players to access training, coaches, events and much more.  IT’S A GREAT TIME TO BE A KING!!!

2023 Team (8th graders)

2024 Team (7th graders)

2025 Team (6th graders)

2026 Team (5th graders)

2027/28  Team (3/4th graders)
Our goal is to have separate 2027 & 2028 teams for the spring & summer of 2019.  We will play as 1 team for the Fall and train together until those numbers are reached.

Team Rosters:
4 to 5 – Attackmen
6 to 7 – Midfielders
4 to 6 – Defensemen/LSM
1 or 2 – Goalies

  • Long poles are not introduced to our players until at least 5th grade. We feel it is detrimental to the development of a young defenseman’s basic skill set with the stick, defensive footwork and overall approach to the game.
  • All 2027 & 2028 players (with exception of the goalies) will be provided opportunities to play all 3 field positions in an effort to build overall game IQ and to begin to identify what position players are best suited to play down the road.
